Welcome to Stay Down On The Farm
You Helped Build A Home
With the Gift of LoVe
As Pastor Ron Stated on Channel 5 News
"He is living in conditions as bad as any 3rd world country I have been too and it is right down the road from here."

Story of The Basket and the Home

The Home is finished!

It Started with a basket and it is ending with so many people involved and helping. You can always know you have a piece of a home for LV.

L.V. Williams is a single man who is living in a garden tool shed with his close companion, his dog Precious. In 2001 L.V. lost his boyhood home to fire. The fire destroyed the entire house and all its contents. Since then he has been living in the garden shed braving the winter cold and the summer heat not complaining to anyone about his unfortunate situation. He came into our lives in the summer of 2008 and many have helped with food, clothing, and greatest of all, friendship. He has never asked for anything, and does not depend on the government for aid but graciously accepts the food, clothing, fuel and other items that we know are imperative to his survival. Friends, the church and men at the local food bank have helped him acquire many necessities and continue to give what they can with food, clothing, friendship and jobs.

L.V. is 61 years old and has only been to a doctor once, when he was born. In spite of an obvious stutter and eye problem LV works hard to be self supporting. LV cuts and sells firewood year round but mainly in the fall and winter. He works other odd jobs and he helps others when asked. LV is now working several hours each week at the White House Hope Center. He goes to church on Sunday and tithes on what he makes.

This "LoVe" basket is a fund raising effort that will turn a desire of many who want to help him have a home into a reality. With your help this self-supportive and very humble man can get out of the garden shed and into a small well built home so that he may live out is years in warmth and love from those of you who are helping make this effort a reality. This effort is based on the highest yet most basic law. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself". Please HELP bring this situation to and end!
